Cross-space monitor deletion via incomplete authorization
Published Sep 26, 2026 · Updated Sep 26, 2026
Missing authorization in Elastic Kibana allows remote authenticated users to delete Synthetics monitors shared with inaccessible spaces. The Synthetics monitor deletion flow accepts a monitor visible in one space and removes the shared saved object and associated private-location integration without checking privileges for every referenced space or applying Fleet authorization. Exposure requires Kibana spaces and a monitor shared across spaces; deletion permanently removes the monitor and can also destroy its Elastic Agent integration configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.12.0 <=7.17.29
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.19.21
- Affected versionversion=9.0.0 <=9.4.6
