Wireless topology disclosure via unauthenticated onboarding scan
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Information disclosure in TP-Link Systems Inc. Tapo C120 V1 and Tapo C200 V5 allows remote attackers to read nearby Wi-Fi metadata. The HTTPS onboarding scan action remains callable without authentication after initial setup and returns SSIDs, BSSIDs, security modes, and signal strengths. Exploitation requires access to the same local network and reveals nearby wireless topology, not camera video or administrative control.
