Account discovery and password guessing via login flaws
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Authentication weaknesses in RansomLook 2.0.0 and earlier allow remote attackers to enumerate users and guess passwords via /login. The endpoint exposes username-dependent password-hash timing and accepts repeated failures without server-side throttling. No authentication is required; repeated requests disclose valid account names, enable unrestricted password attacks, and can consume all synchronous workers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
