Adjacent service enumeration via backup connection test
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
SSRF in WatchGuard Dimension 2.0 through 2.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate adjacent network services. The Remote Backup Connection Test accepts a configured host and port and makes Dimension initiate an SFTP connection without restricting the destination. Privileged access to the system configuration is required, and the observable connection result discloses service exposure rather than service data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
