Unauthenticated root command execution via idledisconnect injection

Command injection in Phoenix Contact CHARX SEC-3000, SEC-3050, SEC-3100, and SEC-3150 before 1.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute code as root. The CharxSystemConfigManager service accepts the idledisconnect string on TCP port 5001 without validating command metacharacters before storing it in system configuration. The service listens by default and needs no authentication; the stored value executes as root, with ZDI stating that code execution requires chaining with other vulnerabilities.
