Logout bypass via noncanonical JWT signature encoding
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Logout bypass in SUSE NeuVector 5.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to reuse logged-out JWTs through network requests. The JWT verifier accepts distinct, noncanonical Base64URL encodings of the same RSA signature instead of requiring a unique compact token serialization. Exploitation requires possession of a valid JWT before logout; access retains that user's privileges only until the token expires.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
