Authenticated RCE via condition.config cleanse bypass
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Remote code execution in Craft CMS 4.0.0-RC1 through 4.18.1 and 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.10.5 allows remote authenticated users to run commands. Conditions::createCondition decodes and merges condition.config after Component::cleanseConfig has inspected only its outer JSON string, exposing hidden Yii behavior and event keys during FieldLayout object creation. A valid control-panel session and CSRF token are required; successful exploitation runs commands as the PHP/web user and exposes application secrets and site data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
