Unauthorized crypto group creation via unguarded route
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Missing authentication in RansomLook 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to create crypto group entries through its web interface. The /admin/crypto/group/new route in website/web/init.py invokes admin_crypto_group_new without flask_login.login_required, so GET and POST requests reach the administrative handler without a session. Network access to the web interface is sufficient to submit unauthorized group data, altering administrator-managed records and downstream data integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
