CVE-2026-78357Network attack vector

Continued account access via unrevoked JWTs

Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026

Session revocation failure in OTRS JWT authentication allows remote authenticated users to retain account access via existing tokens. The authentication mechanism continues accepting previously issued JWTs after account deactivation or password changes until normal expiration, approximately 16 hours later. Exploitation requires possession of a still-valid token obtained beforehand and retains only the affected agent or customer account's assigned permissions; the flaw does not issue tokens.
