Administrator session compromise via unescaped geocode event log
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Stored XSS in Code for Recovery 12 Step Meeting List 3.17 through 3.19.16 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The geocoding event logger stores an unauthenticated user's submitted value without sanitizing it, then renders the value unescaped on an admin-area page. An administrator must open the affected log page; the payload then runs with that user's WordPress session privileges.
