CVE-2026-7833Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via unsanitized restore values

Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026

Command injection in EFM Networks ipTIME C200 1.092 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root via a restore archive. The ApplyRestore handler reads sysset_userid and sysset_userpw from the uploaded /etc/iconfig.cfg without escaping, interpolates them into a camctrl command, and passes the string to popen. A valid administrative session and crafted configuration archive are required; successful exploitation runs shell commands with root privileges and reboots the camera.
