Reflected XSS via unescaped login notification
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Reflected XSS in Apache Syncope 4.0.4 through 4.0.7 and 4.1.0-M0 through 4.1.2 allows remote attackers to run script via a malicious link. BaseLogin.renderHead passes the link-controlled notificationMessage into StyledNotificationBehavior.jQueryShow without ECMAScript escaping, embedding it in inline JavaScript. A victim must open the crafted Console or Enduser login link; script then runs in the Syncope origin with the victim's browser access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
