Reflected XSS via unsanitized shortcode attributes
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Reflected XSS in CodePeople CP Media Player 1.3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script through shortcode attributes. The shortcode renderer places user-controlled attributes, including an unrestricted type value, into generated player markup without sanitization. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted request, and the injected script runs in that victim's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
