Authenticated denial of service via unbounded agent iterations

Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026

Infinite-loop denial of service in Bytebot 0.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to starve the task queue through a crafted task. The agent processor schedules another runIteration call whenever processing remains active, without limiting iterations, tool calls, runtime, cost, or stored results. A user able to submit tasks can keep the sole scheduler worker occupied while model calls, screenshots, and database records continue accumulating.
