CVE-2026-78216Network attack vector

Protected-field disclosure via unauthorized aggregate reads

Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026

Authorization bypass in AshLua 0.1.0 through 0.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to read field-policy-protected data via eval. AshLua.Runtime.run_read_operation/5 returns raw aggregate values without applying the field-policy authorization used for record fields. Reachability requires an exposed eval action and a nameable field restricted for the calling actor; successful access discloses that field's data.
