Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted image upload
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in itsourcecode.com Payroll Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code via the img field. The save_settings function in admin_class.php passes the uploaded file to move_uploaded_file without validating its extension, MIME type, or content, preserves the supplied extension, and stores it under web-accessible assets/img. No authentication is required, so a remote attacker can request the uploaded PHP file and execute commands with the web server process's privileges.
