Persistent script execution via stored backup task content
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Stored XSS in WatchGuard Dimension 2.0 through 2.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers. The Backup Historical Data feature stores attacker-controlled task content and renders it without neutralization on the tasks listing page. Any authenticated low-privilege account can plant the payload; execution occurs when another user, including an administrator, opens that page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
