CVE-2026-78179Network attack vector

Prototype pollution via unsafe dotted path traversal

Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026

Prototype pollution in Rex Rainbow phaser3-rex-notes 1.80.0 through 1.80.17 allows remote authenticated users to alter object prototypes. SetValue splits a caller-supplied dotted key, follows inherited proto objects without rejecting prototype-related segments, and assigns the final value to Object.prototype. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass an untrusted key into Blackboard or Tree APIs, enabling inherited-property changes, logic corruption, or service interruption.
