Code execution via unfiltered Redis payload deserialization
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Deserialization in Apache Camel's Spring Redis component allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted Redis messages. RedisConsumer.setBody uses the default JdkSerializationRedisSerializer without an ObjectInputFilter before route processing; producer reads share that serializer. Exploitation requires permission to publish to a subscribed channel or control stored values that Camel reads, with suitable classes available in the Camel process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
