Secret disclosure via URI header placeholder evaluation
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Template injection in Apache Camel HTTP producers allows remote attackers to disclose secrets through message-supplied URI headers. HTTP, Netty HTTP, Undertow, and Vert.x HTTP helpers pass CamelHttpUri and CamelRestHttpUri values to CamelContext.resolvePropertyPlaceholders(), evaluating configuration references instead of treating them as URI text. Exploitation requires those values to reach a producer; accessible property functions determine secret exposure, while camel-bean additionally permits no-argument registry bean method invocation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
