Code execution via missing Java deserialization filters
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Unsafe deserialization in Apache Camel's camel-hazelcast component allows remote attackers to execute code via cluster-published objects. ReplicatedHazelcastAggregationRepository.doStart() and HazelcastDefaultComponent.getOrCreateHzClientInstance() omit class filters when constructing their own Hazelcast configurations, allowing unrestricted object deserialization before exchange processing. Exploitation requires publishing access to the attached cluster, which lacks authentication and TLS by default; the affected paths use Camel-built instances rather than explicitly supplied configurations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
