Cross-user note modification via unchecked target ID
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Authorization bypass in Dolibarr ERP & CRM allows remote authenticated users with self-edit rights to modify any user's notes. The User Notes handler in htdocs/user/note.php granted self-write permission for every requested ID instead of checking whether the target ID matched the signed-in user. An account limited to editing its own profile can therefore overwrite public or private notes for other users, including administrators.
