Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated maintenance options
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
SQL injection in pgAdmin 4 before 9.15 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL through Maintenance Tool option values. Four JSON fields are concatenated into rendered VACUUM, ANALYZE, or REINDEX commands and passed to psql without validation or correct quoting. The tools_maintenance permission and a database connection are required; injected COPY TO PROGRAM statements execute operating-system commands on the database host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
