CVE-2026-78148Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote server crash via null graph node

Published Aug 23, 2026 · Updated Aug 23, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in llama.cpp bec4772f6 allows remote attackers to crash the ggml-RPC Server with a crafted GRAPH_COMPUTE message. rpc_server::graph_compute accepts node ID 0 as a top-level graph node, stores a null pointer, and passes it to graph planning for dereference. Unauthenticated TCP access to the RPC port is sufficient, and one malformed message terminates the server process.
