Authenticated record compromise via user-controlled ID
Published Aug 23, 2026 · Updated Aug 23, 2026
Authorization bypass in Barangay Resident Profiling Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to access boarder records. The boarders.php endpoint trusts a user-controlled numeric ID and directly reads, updates, archives, restores, or deletes the selected database row without ownership or role checks. Any valid non-primary application account can alter or permanently delete another boarder's record through network requests, and predictable IDs also expose record contents.
