Authenticated account modification via unchecked target selection
Published Aug 23, 2026 · Updated Aug 23, 2026
Improper authorization in SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify user accounts. The /admin/edit_user_account.php endpoint accepts attacker-controlled id and username values without verifying that the session may update the selected account. A low-privilege session is required; successful exploitation changes account data and interrupts the affected application's operation.
