Remote code execution via forged widget integrity hash
Published Sep 12, 2026 · Updated Sep 12, 2026
PHP object injection in StellarWP The Events Calendar 6.17.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through event comments. The is_safe_widget_instance check accepts an integrity value forged by enable_rendering_widget_copied before unserialize invokes PHP magic methods on attacker-controlled data. Exploitation requires comments to be enabled and visible on events; a moderation-hash URL exposes the pending comment to its submitter before approval.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
