Unauthenticated PHP code execution via heredoc breakout
Published Aug 22, 2026 · Updated Aug 22, 2026
Code injection in Fabrik 1.0.0 through 4.7.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through the calc element. The calc element embeds attacker-controlled row data in an evaluated PHP heredoc without escaping a closing terminator, so injected syntax escapes the string and reaches evaluation. The unauthenticated onUpdateComment endpoint performs no access check, but exploitation requires a reachable calc element using the vulnerable evaluation path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
