CVE-2026-77710Network attack vector

Unauthorized metadata injection via parser confusion

Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026

Improper input validation in MISP-STIX 2026.7.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject MISP attribute metadata via STIX imports. Parser selection trusts producer-controlled labels, then the internal STIX2 parser passes unrestricted x_misp_attributes fields to add_attribute(). Exploitation requires an imported STIX document; injected distribution, sharing-group, or tag fields can alter sharing policy and downstream automation.
