Admin-only SSRF via legacy task import
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Server-side request forgery in OpenStack Glance through 32.0.0 allows remote authenticated users with admin rights to fetch internal URLs via import tasks. The deprecated /v2/tasks legacy import path accepts type=import requests and applies only a permissive http:// or https:// prefix check instead of the host and port restrictions enforced by import_filtering_opts for modern web-download imports. Reachability is limited to deployments that still expose the Tasks API; since Xena it is admin-only, and the published impact is confined to Glance-originated requests into the service network.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=30.0.0 <30.3.0
- Affected versionversion=31.0.0 <31.1.1
