CVE-2026-77644Network attack vector

Authentication bypass via unverified password change

Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026

Authentication bypass in PTC Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Edition 11.1 through 13.1 allows remote attackers to change account passwords. PTC's CNA record attributes the issue to missing authentication on a critical function and to an unverified password-change path, but the vendor has not disclosed the exact endpoint or code path. No prior access or user interaction is required according to PTC's CVSS v4 vector, so exposure depends on whether the Enterprise Edition interface is reachable by remote attackers; published records do not show code execution beyond credential compromise.
