CVE-2026-7762

Pre-auth kernel code execution via unchecked IE length

Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026

Heap buffer overflow in Morse Micro HaLowLink 2 before 2.11.13 allows physically proximate attackers to crash the kernel or execute code. morse_dot11ah_find_s1g_caps_for_bssid() passes an unvalidated S1G Capabilities IE length to memcpy for a 15-byte heap buffer, permitting up to 240 bytes of attacker-controlled overwrite. A crafted beacon or probe response triggers the flaw during normal scanning without authentication, association, or user interaction.
