Reflected XSS via forged cursor pagination token
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Reflected XSS in Semantic MediaWiki 7.0.0 through 7.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via a forged cursor token. QueryCreator::applyCursorIfRequested inserts attacker-controlled sort_prop or sort_order values into a raw error string that ErrorWidget::queryError passes to Html::errorBox without output encoding. No attacker account is required, but a victim must open the crafted link; script then runs in the wiki origin and can read or modify data available to that browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
