Open redirect via unchecked URIResolver target
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Open redirect in Semantic MediaWiki 7.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to send users to attacker-controlled sites. Special:URIResolver converts a user-controlled subpage into a MediaWiki title, then sends an HTTP 303 to getFullURL() without checking the final host or embedded authority credentials. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted trusted-wiki URL; the resulting off-host navigation enables phishing under the wiki's apparent trust.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
