Reflected XSS via unescaped table separator
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Reflected XSS in Semantic MediaWiki before 7.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted sep value. The Special:Ask table renderer inserts sep verbatim into HTML used to join cell values, including standard and raw request output. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted request; injected script then runs in the site's browser origin and can read or alter data available to that user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
