Script execution via unescaped plain table headers
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Reflected XSS in Semantic MediaWiki 7.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script through crafted Special:Ask headers. With headers=plain, TableResultPrinter sends user-controlled mainlabel or property-label text through a raw HTML path into a th element without output-context escaping. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted query, after which the script runs in the wiki origin and can read or modify data accessible to that user's browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
