CVE-2026-77586Network attack vector

SQL execution via unescaped SHOW CREATE identifiers

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

SQL injection in MongoDB Connector for BI 2.1.0 through 2.14.30 allows remote authenticated users to plant SQL in SHOW CREATE output. The DDL generator places collection, field, and index names inside quoted identifiers without escaping the delimiter, allowing a crafted name to terminate the identifier and append SQL. Exploitation requires write access to a sampled collection and subsequent replay of the generated statement, which executes the appended text with the replaying session's privileges.
