Credential disclosure via unredacted support bundles
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Credential disclosure in Sidero Labs Talos Linux support bundles allows attackers to read registry secrets via shared archives. The talosctl support command retains the auth field in resources/registryconfigs.cri.talos.dev.yaml and sensitive content in etcfilespecs.files.talos.dev.yaml without redaction. Exposure requires configured registry credentials and an operator sharing the bundle with an unintended recipient; subsequent registry access depends on network reachability and credential privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
