CVE-2026-7739Public exploit

Local process crash via malformed HEVC track

Published May 4, 2026 · Updated May 4, 2026

Denial of service in justdan96 tsMuxer 2.0 through 2.7.0 allows local users to crash the process with a crafted HEVC input. A crafted track_id causes HevcVpsUnit::setFPS to reach a state where num_units_in_tick_bit_pos is not positive, and the failed assertion aborts the process. Low-privilege local access and control of the processed input are required; successful exploitation interrupts only the tsMuxer process.
