Cross-vault data access via unchecked vault selection
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
Authorization bypass in obsidian-tc before 1.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to read, write, or delete other vaults via tool calls. Tool dispatch accepts input.vault without comparing it with ctx.vaultId, while JWTs lack a vault claim and the folder ACL is shared globally. A valid token and multiple configured vaults are required; the bypass crosses vault boundaries rather than granting access outside configured vaults.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
