CVE-2026-77354Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated service restart via sparse deepObject indexes

Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in kin-openapi 0.124.0 through 0.141.0 allows remote attackers to trigger OOM restarts via crafted queries. openapi3filter.sliceMapToSlice turns an attacker-controlled sparse deepObject array index into a dense slice through the highest index, and buildResObj allocates a second equal-length slice before schema validation. Exploitation requires an array-bearing deepObject query parameter; one unauthenticated request can exhaust service memory, while other parameter styles and request-body encodings are unaffected.
