Process control via unauthenticated DNS-rebindable MCP listener
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Origin-validation and authentication flaws in Process Compose before 1.120.0 allow remote attackers to control processes through a victim's browser. The MCP SSE listener accepts untrusted Host and Origin values and unauthenticated messages before dispatching requests to registered tools. MCP SSE must be enabled and the victim must visit an attacker-controlled site; exposed control or user-defined tools allow log access, process changes, and configured command execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
