Path traversal in Ryan Joachim MCP-RTFM 0.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify process-accessible files. The get_doc_content, read_doc, and update_doc tools interpolate the untrusted docFile value beneath .handoff_docs without normalization or a resolved-path boundary check. Exploitation requires access to invoke the MCP tools; reads are limited by process permissions, and writes additionally require matching existing content.
