Server file disclosure via unchecked attachment paths
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Path traversal in sooperset MCP Atlassian before 0.22.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through attachment uploads. The Jira and Confluence upload paths normalize caller-controlled file_path values and pass them to open() without constraining them to an authorized directory. Exploitation requires access to an enabled upload tool and an Atlassian page or issue that accepts attachments; disclosure is limited to files readable by the server process.
