Unauthenticated cache manipulation via exposed AJAX callback
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Missing authorization in Techeshta Layouts for WPBakery 1.1.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to manipulate cached template data. The public handle_sync AJAX action invokes Layouts_WPB_Remote::template_sync() without a nonce or capability check, fetches vendor API JSON, and stores it verbatim as WordPress transients. No account or user interaction is required, enabling arbitrary-rate outbound requests and modification of cached template and category data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
