Server-local file disclosure via unrestricted attachment paths
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Path traversal in sooperset MCP Atlassian before 0.22.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server-local files via upload tools. The Jira and Confluence handlers resolve caller-supplied file_path values, open the resulting paths without containment checks, and send the bytes as attachments. Access to an enabled write or upload tool and a writable issue or page is required; disclosure is limited to files readable by the server process.
