CVE-2026-7725Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Worker command execution via Git option injection

Published May 4, 2026 · Updated May 4, 2026

Argument injection in Prefect before 3.6.25.dev7 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on worker hosts via pull steps. GitRepository passes commit_sha and directories values directly to Git subprocesses without validating option-like input or terminating option parsing. An attacker must control deployment pull parameters, such as through prefect.yaml; exploitation can hang the worker or run commands with its privileges.
