Unauthenticated local file disclosure via unrestricted upload paths
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Path traversal in sooperset MCP Atlassian before 0.22.0 allows remote attackers to read files available to the server process. The streamable HTTP transport accepts requests without a user identity, falls back to operator credentials, and passes upload_attachment's caller-controlled file_path to open() without validation. Reachability requires the HTTP transport and an attachment destination the operator account can write; exposed data is limited to files readable by the MCP process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
