Server-local file disclosure via unrestricted upload paths
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Path traversal in sooperset MCP Atlassian before 0.22.0 allows remote authenticated users to disclose server-local files via upload tools. Jira and Confluence AttachmentsMixin upload methods open caller-controlled file_path values without restricting them to an approved directory, then send the bytes as attachments. Exploitation requires permission to invoke an upload-capable MCP tool and exposes only files readable by the server process.
