Unauthenticated file exfiltration via unchecked upload paths
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Path traversal in MCP Atlassian before 0.22.0 allows remote attackers to read server-local files through HTTP attachment tools. The Confluence and Jira upload paths normalize a caller-supplied file_path, check only that it exists, and open it without workspace confinement. Exploitation requires reachable HTTP transport with write tools enabled and an accepted attacker-controlled service host, and it exposes files readable by the server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
